FAQ

  • Do I need a day-of wedding coordinator?

Yes…but not in the way you might think. What most couples call “day-of coordination” actually starts weeks before the wedding. Without that prep time, too many details can slip through the cracks. A coordinator ensures everything runs smoothly, so you can actually enjoy your day instead of managing logistics.

  • What's the difference between a day-of coordinator and a month-of coordinator?

“Day-of” is often misunderstood…it implies someone shows up only on the wedding day. In reality, effective coordination starts at least 4–8 weeks prior. Month-of coordination includes vendor communication, timeline creation, final walkthroughs, and all the groundwork necessary for seamless execution.

  • How far in advance should I book a month-of coordinator in the Bay Area or Northern California?

I recommend booking at least 6–12 months in advance, especially for high-demand dates in San Francisco, Napa, and Sonoma. While my services begin 2 months prior to the wedding, securing your spot early ensures you’re on my calendar and have peace of mind.

  • Do you work with LGBTQA+ couples?

Yes, always. I believe love is love and every couple deserves to be celebrated with respect, care, and joy. My planning process is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in kindness.

  • Where do you work? Do you travel?

I serve the Bay Area and Northern California (San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Peninsula, North Bay, Napa, Sonoma, Sacramento, Monterey, and Carmel). I also take select destination weddings with travel arrangements.

  • What kind of weddings do you specialize in?

I specialize in multicultural, fusion, and interfaith weddings. That includes Indian and South Asian celebrations blended with Western or other cultural traditions, with thoughtful guidance on honoring families and values.

  • Do you offer day-of coordination?

I offer Month-Of Coordination, which is more effective than “day-of.” We start 6–8 weeks prior to build your run-of-show, confirm vendors, walk through venues, and manage the full day.

  • Will you be on site on the wedding day?

Yes. I am your on-site lead, and I staff assistants based on guest count (although I will always have an assistant for events more than 50 people), venues, and program complexity so the day runs smoothly.

  • Do you plan micro-weddings or elopements with multicultural elements?

Yes. I plan intimate weddings and elopements that fit smaller venues and timelines. Reach out to learn about my intimate wedding packages.
